Cooking Classes:

Thank you, for inquiring about my cooking lessons, for some of us who’s been waiting for a while to have wholesome and healthy meals, here we go, I will be doing few classes at U.F.V and Cheam Indian Band (we are waiting for new kitchen) .

When:

Every Tuesday from September 20th to Tuesday November 08th at 4:30pm to 7:30pm at Cheam Health Center.

I would like to thank my students Daphne Edwards, Madeline Jimmie, Katherine Giroux, Amy Sr. Victor and Della Victor for making these classes fun and interesting. I could not have picked a better student then you girls, and let’s not forget Kirby.  If there is any question or suggestion I am open for your feedback

For  U.F.V October, 14th at 10:00am to 2:00pm, we will be making Butter Chicken with Rice Pilaf with Spicy Chai tea. As well Aloo Gobi (potatoes and cauliflower)  which contain ingredients  features ginger, garlic, tomato and authentic Indian spices combined to make a satisfying Sabji that is genrally served with Roti or  fluffy rice pilaff.

And, the 2nd class for this winter at U.F.V November 14th, at 10:00am to 1:00pmSplit Peas & Squash with rice and Chai tea.

On a cool winter day, this traditional Indian dish warms the heart and soul. It is high in protein and fibre, and is an excellent source of dietary iron. In addition to the main ingredients, the recipe also features ginger, garlic, tomato,
and authentic Indian spices, combined to make a thick, satisfying soup that is generally served over fluffy rice pilaf. Take-home recipe provided. Be sure to bring containers so you can take your culinary masterpieces home to enjoy. Also, with spicy Chai tea and enjoy!

Thank you all for taking time,  you will not only learn about health benefits of the spices, also how to make healthy recipes that are easy to prepare in these classes. I am hoping that  you all enjoy using the techniques and spices, in you’re daily lives.
